COMMENTS ON THIS DOCUMENT:

You cannot miss this site which is very rich on the theme of immigration in France.

The themes are numerous and the various entries permit an access to multimedia documentation (including for example the film "The history of immigration in France, available online since July 2006”). Written by historians who are members of the Scientific Committee of the city, rich with 350 photographs and archive material, punctuated by film extracts, it recounts in forty minutes two centuries of immigration: the arrival of successive waves of immigrants and refugees, the implementation of the public policy and issues on nationality, the reactions of public opinion between xenophobia and solidarity, labour and business of immigration, the struggles all together in peacetime as in wartime, lifestyles and cultural issues.

The site also enables to follow the current news about what is organized, published on the topic of immigration.
