DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS:

This paper aims to highlight the complex situation, in terms of election, of Romanians living abroad. Are identified broadly Romanian voters living abroad and examined how the Romanians in Italy participated in the last two election ballot. Two surveys are analyzed to reveal the views of some 300 Romanian living in Italy, first and only of its kind conducted under the electoral issue, being highlighted the main problems faced by the Romanian community around elections and ballot boxes.
On a parallel with the Italian electoral system, are carried out a series of proposals and suggestions designed to bring to legislators from Bucharest an “outside” view of Romanian emigrants seen as the electorate.
