Description of Dissemination Event:
On the occasion of the conference about the history and experiences of Italian emigrants to Belgium, Fausto Gentili, ICSIM, presented the Routes Portal as an example of innovative methodology to teach the European History of migration. On this occasion, a delegation of the students who are working at the Routes Project took part at the conference and visited the Italian emigration sites in Belgium, including the coal mine of Marcinelle.

Members of: Umbria Region, town councillors of Foligno, General Council of Italian emigrants abroad, Ce.Ra.A.I.C. (Regional Committee for the integration of foreigner peoples in Vallonia Region), ULB (Bruxelles Free University), A.R.U.L.E.F. La Louvière, CGIL Foligno, director of L’Officina della memoria, teachers and students from Foligno.

All the people present at the meeting showed interest in the use of the Portal contents for local, national and international researches and agreed to promote the project among the members of the various associations.
