COMMENTS ON THIS DOCUMENT:

The study regarding the effect of immigration upon the salaries and unemployment in Europe, gets to the conclusion that even in the case of the simplest types of economy, the new-comers are included in the system and this results in creating of new jobs. Christian Dustmann, one of the authors of the report, says that the public debate over immigration "often seems to induce the idea that there is a limited number of jobs inside the economy and that immigration will lead to a higher competition for those jobs". This is not true, he says. "An economy involved in an international competitive market can always expand production, can assimilate the new workers by creating new jobs", says the report which is based on the European experience in the filed of immigration starting with the Second World War
