Chapter 3 is more about contemporary migration. It is entitled: “The time of immigrants “and includes a map of immigration from 1840 to 1940 (on a worldwide scale ), 3 interviews (with Philippe Rygiel: “When Europe was a land of immigration” / with Gerard Noiriel: France, “an old immigration country” / Catherine Wihtol de Wenden: “The new migration scenario”), a chronology (from Ellis Island to Athens Forum) and a bibliography
The third chapter emphasizes clearly, at different scales and through various documents (maps, photographs, statistics, migratory phenomena of the last two centuries.
