DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS:

A report by the Guardian about an exhibition hosted by the Jewish Museum to mark the centenary of the 1905 Aliens Act.

The report is a useful record of the exhibition which finished in August 2005.

The images selected for the exhibition catalogue some of the key features of 20th century immigration history.

They demonstrate that current issues around immigration are not new but have been debated throughout the last century.
