DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS:

It is an article which provides a series of statistics concerning the emigration phenomenon in the region of Banat from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th – covering in fact a period of 15 years.

COMMENTS ON THIS DOCUMENT:

The article gives insight into this large scale phenomenon: migrant workers, from rural parts mainly, who wanted to gain economic advantages from booming city centres in Romania or America and Germany. The result of this phenomenon was the decrease in number of the rural population.
