245/2008 Education Act (Zákon o vzdelávaní)

DESCRIPTION OF LAW CONTENTS:

The act defines the principles, conditions, forms, length and the other relevant organizational conditions of education in Slovak Republic. Regulates state educational programs and states rights of involved subjects (pupils, parents and schools). In the article 146 determines the rights of foreigners and children of foreigners for education including migrants and refugees.

COMMENTS ON THIS DOCUMENT:

Related to migration issue the Act determines the conditions and rights for education for migrants and equal approach as to children of Slovak citizens. All the foreign minors (under 18 years) children of asylum seekers, migrants, supplementary protected are eligible to state education same as Slovak children.
