Statistics
French/English
The INED (National Institute of Demographic studies) provide tabulation (addition) of the number of annual entries in France worked out from the central register of residence permits (AGDREF) of the Department of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Cooperative Development. These statistics follow international guidelines and have been produced since 1994 without major changes in methodology.
Three sets of statistics are available on migration flows
By year and nationality / By reason for admission in 2007 / By age group in 2007.
In addition to these tables, the site offers more detailed statistics: Definition of terms that are used / Basic data of published tables / annual charts of admissions.
The site and these statistics provide official figures on immigration flow in France today.
It enables to give an accurate picture of the reasons for admission, countries of emigration and age categories.
An example, 55% of "admitted" in France in 2007 are for family reasons.
