‘Towards a Progressive Immigration Policy’: the principles which underpin progressive immigration policies
Ed. Don Flynn and Zoe Williams
2007 London
Report, Survey
English
A collection of essays published by the Barrow Cadbury Trust on the principles which underpin progressive immigration policies.
Part Two of the report has sections on Employment, Housing, Education and Health. Part Three focuses on Social Inclusion.
Each section makes reference to popular concerns about the effects of immigration policy and then sets out ideas for moving forward with regard to tackling the key issues. The Social Inclusion section includes a report by Leonie McCarthy arguing for greater activity at neighbourhood level using Peterborough as a case study.
This document brings the discussion on how Britain can face up to the challenges of a rapidly changing society in the face of current patterns of immigration right up to date.
